Service Description
A PRP injection is an in-office medical treatment that uses a concentration of your own blood’s platelets to promote healing in damaged tissues.
Key Benefits:
-
Stimulates Natural Collagen Production: Uses your body’s own platelet-rich plasma to improve skin texture, elasticity, and firmness.
-
Reduces Fine Lines and Wrinkles: Helps soften signs of aging while improving overall skin tone and smoothness.
-
Enhances Skin Healing and Renewal: Improves the appearance of acne scars, sun damage, and uneven skin tone by promoting cell regeneration.
-
Safe and Natural for Most Skin Types: A minimally invasive treatment with low risk of allergic reaction since PRP is derived from your own blood.
How It Works:
During your session, a small amount of your blood is drawn and processed to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. This concentrated PRP is then carefully applied or injected into targeted areas of the skin, often combined with microneedling for enhanced absorption and results. The treatment typically lasts 45–60 minutes and works by stimulating collagen production and accelerating the skin’s natural healing process.
What to Expect:
-
Pre-Treatment: A consultation to evaluate your skin concerns and determine if PRP is the right treatment for your goals.
-
During Treatment: Mild discomfort may be felt; numbing cream is applied beforehand to ensure comfort throughout the procedure.
-
Post-Treatment: Temporary redness, swelling, or mild bruising may occur and usually resolves within 1–3 days. Patients are advised to follow post-care instructions and avoid sun exposure immediately after treatment.
-
Results: Gradual improvements appear within 2–4 weeks, with continued enhancement over time. A series of 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is often recommended for optimal results.
